Signs of Temuair - By Tristam Hallowfield

This is not the way a kingdom is built, this is how it is destroyed

the way we laugh, the way we play, a ploy for girls and boys.

A plague, a plague, a plague, a curse, the page, the book, a day.

We paid amounts of disrespect, to whom it is at bey.

 * * *

Carefully the doors are closed, and windows shut to seal.

The gates of which we cannot see, but somehow always feel.

 * * *

Do you feel the ignorance, and bliss between us all?

between us all a single word exchanged when darkness calls.

 * * *

Fancy words they are I say, and something isn't right.

The negligence of gluttony has always been our fight.

 * * *

Constantly chasing the chapters of chadul, but Danaan doesn't wake.

Await we do the terror's day, and fear until it breaks.

 * * *

I held my heart in my own hand, and watched it bleed for moons

something else must happen here, something must resume.

 * * *

The vague old stench of goblins blood, stained so deep it burns

but will we all now recognize, until all aislings learn?

 * * *

Peace be with those who haven't fault, or claim they weren't there

they cannot be judged just for the past, as if we even care.

 * * *

So carry on, ofcourse I must, a portrait made of me

I look in books, and see myself, as if they were the sea.

 * * *

This is not the way a kingdom is built, this is how it is destroyed

The parchment scrolls and sands of time skip beating hearts of joy.

A kiss, a kiss, a kiss, a charm, the bridge, the fire, a bond.

we have memories of darker days, of which we aren't fond.

 * * *

Young hearts do not ache long, and soon all wounds are healed

the scars we bear of innocence, are in a sense a shield.

 * * *

The path will take it's course I fear, no bread crumbs left to find

We mark our ways and leave a scent of parody behind.

 * * *

Complete the quest, and earn your mark, demerit of the truth

but who is who to tell me why demerit is of use.

 * * *

Slumber, deep, sleep can be turned into a cell, a cage.

Awake you will from dreams you earned, and yell into a rage.

 * * *

Common sense, and common law abide it and be strong

remember without guidelines, aisling, you will not live long.

 * * *

The cold wind blows, I take a breath, and blow it out my nose

I feel the forest beckoning, awakening the rose.

 * * *

Arise, the fall appears to come, and summer is the past

but days and nights are always there, and nothing ever lasts.

 * * *

So laugh again, and play the game of life we mussn't win

before you quit, and take your leave, learn first how to begin.

 * * *

This is not the way a kingdom is built, this is how it is destroyed

The children search for mysteries, their parents say avoid.

A sign, a sign, a sign, the light, the patience to pretend

now we begin a legacy, by starting at the end.

 * * *

Concentrate and take the vow, take your place, or take a bow

for everything and everyone is wrong.

 * * *

A constant rate, and pace of clouds, chase your fate, or face it now

may this be said, we've been here all along.
