Sixteen Deochs of War, Rebellion, Invasion and the Near Fall of Loures

By Ramanayan Caesar in the Dark Ages

Deoch 181, Winter

Greetings reader of Temuairan history!

I am Ramanayan Caesar. It would not be impolite of you to call me old. I was born two years before the sacrifice of Danaan, and sparked as an aisling in Deoch 13. I felt the call of history very early in my life. I was recognized by Loures and ennobled as a historian in Deoch 16.

It disturbs and saddens me as a historian when I see momentous events of the Aisling Era now vaguely remembered, if remembered at all. Having been blessed by the Gods with a long life, I believe it is my duty as an aisling historian to ensure that the events of the past are not forgotten.

The work I have prepared here is a history of the Goblin War and closely connected events, spanning from Deoch 28 to 44. During this time period the Kingdom of Loures nearly collapsed under the combined weight of a devastating war, rebellion and external invasion.

I personally participated in or witnessed every event described in this work. After each section I have added a first person account of my own experiences of the events described.

While much of this work draws from my own memories and personal documents, I also have referenced surviving aisling works, board posts, mundane announcements and scrolls from my guild's archives. A list of the references and sources used in this work can be found on the final scroll.
