Faoi Shaoránacht On Citizenship |
In Deoch 62, Fall Suomi became the fifth and thus far final state to allow aisling settlement. |

Awakening & Travel Times Citizens of Suomi awaken at the Suomi Inn which also functions as the local bank. Suomi citizenship is tied with Rucesion for the best travel times of all citizenships. This is made possible by the presence of a Loures Knight who stands just outside of the Suomi Inn. He is able to transport aislings (regardless of citizenship) instantly to Abel Village Way. Just how powerful and useful this benefit is cannot be overstated: for example someone from Suomi can reach the Temple of Choosing in Mileth nearly twice as fast as a Mileth Citizen awakening at the Mileth Inn.
Ranking is for Mileth, Rucesion, Tagor, Suomi and Loures citizenships. Times were measured using the most direct routes from the Suomi Inn available to all aislings (except to Medenia where the express ship was used). No change of form was used. )) |
Becoming a Suomi Citizen New citizens can be admitted any full member of the Suomi Troupe (Trouper or Burgess). One does not need to be in any particular location as admission is done using a special scroll ((trinket)). Suomi citizenship overrides existing citizenship so a prospective citizen does not need to be stateless. Suomi citizenship is regulated by Suomi law under the Citizenship Guidelines. The requirements set down are: 1. No arrests, warrants or Ranger warnings within the previous one deoch A Suomi Burgess can make exceptions to these requirements if they feel an aisling has reformed but doesn't meet the requirements. |
Changing & Losing Citizenship By Renunciation: Suomi citizenship may be voluntarily renounced at the Suomi Inn. The aisling will become stateless. Renouncing is required into order to become a Mileth, Rucesion or Tagor citizen. By Overriding: Suomi Citizenship may be overridden by assuming Noes citizenship. |
Political System Suomi's aisling government is called the Suomi Troupe. Unlike in Mileth, Rucesion and Noes the political system of Suomi is not divided into legislative and law enforcement branches. The Suomi Troupe is largely apolitical as it's primary role is event hosting.

Law Enforcement Suomi is the only state where heretical speech in public remains illegal. Otherwise Suomi has only a very small body of formal law which mostly concerns citizenship and membership in the Suomi Troupe. |
