Semitas Arcana Temuair - The Paths of the Secrets of Temuair

Nadurs & Fas Nadurs - Bending Nadur to One's Will

This series involves the secrets of the leasaich, and the elemental nadur secrets. Also included are the fas nadur secrets: beag fas nadur, fas nadur, mor fas nadur and ard fas nadur. These spells allow not for the Wizard to cause direct damage through their incantations, but to manipulate and bend nature to their own will.

The leasaich secrets harness the stored elemental energies of vials containing pure elements, in order to restore one’s willpower. The wizard may at first seem the fittest to carry the gift of such secrets, but on a second thought, one may notice that this type of incantation heavily involves willpower, a domain of the Priest path. However, the priest has no aptitude for natural elements, and would therefore not be fit to aptly manipulate nature, as their powers stem from the holy or unholy.

The nadur spells are another obvious iteration of a heavy manipulation of nature. Not only do sal nadur, creag nadur, athar nadur, srad nature, and their beag, mor, and ard iterations alter a sentient’s defences to a specific element, showing apt commanding of nature, but the wizard is also gifted with the amplification of these elements through the incantations of the Fas nadurs. Once again, the wizard is shown to be the dominator of nature, bending it to their will.

However, is this true? The priest path also has access to a spell they can use to alter the defences of a sentient being, the sonruich nadur secret. However, this shows no aptitude for nature, as it is a rather chaotic secret that will change a creature’s defences to a random element, either srad, creag, sal, athar, light, dark, or none. This also reinforces the position of the Priest as a conduit of holy and unholy energies, as these tend to be the ones able to be the most chaotic if left unchecked, displaying no natural order, as is the randomness of the turnout of the sonruich nadur incantation.
